QUID PRO QUO

I’ve been watching intently as this term has been thrown about by politicians and news media pundits. It is a Latin term which simply means “something for something.”
It has been used repeatedly in the news as of late, because those responsible for framing the current narrative are hoping that those who hear the term are either too ignorant or too lazy to understand it’s true meaning, or that they simply do not care. Unfortunately in our nation’s modern, selfish, touchy, and hypersensitive society, they may be right.
As much as I hate to admit it, after reading the complete transcript that features all of the documented evidence of what took place in that particular moment of history, and after reviewing all of the written testimony given by persons under the threat of retaliation and severe consequences ranging anywhere from expulsion from employment or from social participation all the way up unto even possibly death under certain circumstances, I find that the volume of evidence pointing to a quid pro quo produced by these credible witnesses has simply become too overwhelming for me to continue to try and dismiss or deny.
So, as it now stands, the only reasonable conclusion that I can assert is, that he is in fact guilty. I don’t think there’s any question about it any longer. The event did occur, the communication was established, and I think deep within the heart of any reasonable minded thinking person, we all know that it’s true. The only thing left to do now is to try and determine the motive behind his actions.
Quid pro quo is something that actually occurs every single moment of every single day. From you getting a drive thru hamburger for your dollar or taking turns with your wife to do the dishes, everyone in life is getting “something for something”. Most of the time, nobody seems to mind. There is nothing inherently nasty about the term itself, or even the action, unless it is being used to bribe or to extort something from someone else with the intent of receiving a personal gain. If there is no personal gain, then there cannot be a true quid pro quo, and I believe we all know that in this highly visible case, there certainly was potential for direct personal gain involved.
Many who know me will now disagree with me about my statement. Some may now even disown me or stop doing business with me because of my stance on this issue, but again, I now truly believe it is clear that there was in fact a bonafide quid pro quo, and that by his own admission in writing, and on the basis of the evidence presented, it is true. The most powerful person in the known universe is guilty of offering something in return for something.
Yes, it’s true. It's undeniable. He is guilty.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes on Him shall not perish, but shall have everlasting life.
In return, each individual person is required to accept and affirm that Jesus the Christ, is the Son of God, and they must believe and confess with their mouth that God raised up Jesus from the dead to justify and to make payment for the sin of the entire world.
Here’s a summary of the deal:
If you'll give Him your sin -
He'll give you His righteousness
If you'll give Him your weakness -
He'll give you His strength
If you'll give Him your your worries -
He'll give you His peace
If you'll give Him your poverty -
He'll give you His wealth
If you'll give Him your sickness -
He'll give you His health
If you'll give Him your death -
He'll give you His abundant life
The components of this offer have already been appropriated and are ready to be released to any individual who will agree to the terms above. Yes, God is in fact guilty of quid pro quo.
As I said before, there can be no quid pro quo without the more powerful party receiving a personal gain. In this case however, I’m not convinced that He made a very good deal.
So . . . What was he trying to get for Himself?
Well my friend, He was trying to get you!
At this point in time, I would caution everyone to not be pressured into a rush decision about another persons motive. It might prove to be that the person they desired to receive a personal gain, was not themselves, but you!
Especially when protecting you is in their job description.
